Speaker distribution area coverage angles
Different speakers will have different angles of coverage horizontally (horizontal X axis) and not nesersary be the same vertically (vertical Y axis).
The projection of the speaker and distance covered is refered to as the throw (applicate Z axis).
It is important to understand these basic princibles in order to calculate the distribution of speakers in a volumetric area.
The current consensus amongst acoustic engineers is that the majority of audio & visual installation contractors have little of no understanding of scientific calculation methods in selecting speaker systems and distributing them in an enviroment affectively.

This oftern leads to over quanitifying of speaker units, power outputs and speaker throw type; which a perfect text book example of which can be find in many nightclub in the Orchard district of Singapore.
For home usage the same scientific prinicbles can be adopted and ustailzed, we the inclusion of this simple rule of thumb:
always use stero sub woofers as apose to mono singular.
